For Immediate Release:
Phoenix, Ariz., September 12 – After considerable deliberation, coupled with some industry suggestions, editor-in-chief for MyTEKLife Magazine Ed Martinez, and founder of parent My Life Media Corp., decided to modify its current name from MyTEKLife to simply MyLIFE Magazine. This name change greatly expands the perception of the magazine from (first looks) of being a TEK publication to one that better serves our goals for delivering a publication which covers all aspects of “everyday life” while attracting -main-stream- America. Along with this change we will also be incorporating a more modern look to the publications masthead.
Jamie Copland, CEO of Sentry Enterprises, investor, publisher, and sales and marketing arm for MyLIFE Magazine (through Sentry’s Broadcast Media of Arizona sales division) is convinced “that this action will allow the publication greater access to advertisers and readers alike. We are now marketing a magazine whose cover promotes LIFE over TEK, a stumbling block he admits had caused some prior confusion. This has now been eliminated.”
“Nothing else has changed. MyLIFE Magazine will continue its mission for delivering iconic feature stories, awesome photography and for profiling major personalities in the areas of film, fashion, entertainment, television, music, aviation, motor sports, automotive technology, computing and social media. And yes … TEK will still remain a part of the publication as we know how it impacts virtually everything we do in our daily lives, said Martinez.”
When asked why so much interest and attention has been given to the publication, Copland responded by saying, “Many things distinguish us from other Phoenix publications, who seem happy to report on the best salsa recipes or top 10 burger bars … however, MyLIFE Magazine is intellectually stimulating and engaging. Our articles are cutting edge, informative and exciting. The photography throughout the magazine is simply world-class, but the bottom line is this, we are, what every other magazine is not! MyLIFE Magazine is simply a far better product for the Phoenix market, and it shows.”
Both Martinez and Copland see this as a positive and exciting new chapter in the publications three-year history. Since undertaking a recent design makeover, the attention the publication has received is nothing short of amazing. As MyLIFE Magazine enters the New Year, circulation will have grown by almost 400%, reaching over 20,000 copies per issue with more than 50,000 readers. “A lot is happening and more is in the works, and I believe the best is yet to come,” concluded Martinez.
