iPad Mini

ipad-miniThe iPad Mini isn’t for everyone, and perhaps that’s what Apple intended. While its 7.9-inch screen lacks the retina quality display of its big brother, isn’t large enough to enjoy movies and doesn’t allow you to comfortably work with documents or spreadsheets, the iPad Mini is perfect for casual Web surfing or emailing. But where it truly shines is as an e-reader. If you’ve ever read a book on a full-sized iPad, it’s not an unpleasant experience, but the iPad Mini is far better. Smaller and lighter, it feels like you’re actually holding a book instead of a tablet. If you’re looking for your first iPad and your main function isn’t watching movies or working on documents, an iPad Mini might be the place to begin. iPad Minis are available at Apple retail stores, or at your local Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target. Prices start at $329.
