Owning a Porsche is an experience many never get to know. Most drivers will tell you that nothing looks or drives quite like them. Very few cars can match the German automaker’s rich history.

Founded in 1931 in Germany, the Porsche brand made its debut in the U.S. sixty years ago.

To celebrate their anniversary, the company is inviting Porsche owners and enthusiasts to participate in two contests that are sure to enhance their experience with the brand—to find the oldest Porsche in America, and an opportunity to share their passion for the luxury high performance cars.

Owners are invited to participate by submitting an entry on www.porsche60years.com. Twelve models will be selected, including the Porsche 356, 911, 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, 969, Boxter, Cayenne, Carrera GT and Cayman. In addition, the search is on for finding the oldest Porsche ever sold in the U.S.

The selected vehicles and their owners will receive special recognition and become eligible for additional awards, including an exclusive badge from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. Exhibition-quality images of winning models will also be featured at the new “Sixty Years of Porsche in America” exhibit, opening October 12 at the same museum—one vehicle could be selected for display at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, alongside the company’s newest models.

For Porsche aficionados, they can write a story that exemplifies their unique appreciation for a specific model, an experience, or the brand itself. A special panel will select 20 stories. Fans will then vote online for their favorites. The three entries with the most votes will win an all-expense-paid trip to the Porsche Sports Driving School in Birmingham, Ala.
