Paranormal Matrix production team
Paranormal TV shows are everywhere these days. America’s curiosity of the unexplained is keeping them glued to their televisions. In 1976, In Search Of…, hosted by Leonard Nimoy, was one of the earliest TV shows focusing on this phenomenon. The series had a huge following, and explored many paranormal topics, including UFOs, lost civilizations and other mysteries.
In Search Of… ran for six years and is credited for paving the way for modern paranormal TV shows.
The producers of the new TV show Paranormal Matrix are bringing the ET phenomenon to a worldwide audience in a unique way.
Paranormal Matrix consists of a team of investigators who uncover unexplained events through extraordinary first-person accounts. The show is hosted by Katie Cook, host of CMT Insider on the CMT TV network.
“We have two pilot episodes produced,” said Scott Davis, producer of Paranormal Matrix. Davis tells me that both pilots are now in the hands of distributors to get the series aired on TV networks. “Until that happens, our pilot episodes, and fifteen to twenty different individual stories are online on our website.”
On Saturday, June 5th, Paranormal Matrix will host world-renowned author, lecturer and “contact mediator” Lyssa Royal Holt during a live video webcast called Experience: Contact. Holt will lead a group of participants in an attempt to contact extraterrestrial life—and for the first time, let viewers around the world participate live as it happens.
Davis explains how the idea originated: “We were producing a story with Lyssa in the desert about a month ago, about the contact work she does all over the world. While in editing, we noticed the meditation and techniques she used to bring people into the right mode—it just jumped out of the screen to us. I said, ‘We need to put this online for people to watch.’” The idea then evolved into producing a live event with a mission to allow anyone who wanted to participate from around the world, to do so.
“The whole UFO E.T. phenomenon is not going away. Despite those that ridicule it, there are very credible people that have had experiences,” said Holt. According to a recent Reuters News poll conducted by Ipsos, one in five (20%) of adults surveyed in 22 countries say they believe that alien beings are on Earth. “We’ve gone beyond questioning whether they exist. “We know they do and I am excited to bring the reality of contact with other intelligence in our universe to a worldwide Internet audience. It will be a fascinating adventure.”
“A lot of people laugh at it, but a lot of people also take it seriously,” added Davis. He hopes that the live webcast event will offer a unique opportunity for participants. “This is a way for anybody to participate, and if they don’t want to tell others they are participating, they don’t have to, because they are in the privacy of their own home. And if they want to make it a group event where they bring everybody to their house to do it together, they can do that too.”
An event of this magnitude has not been attempted before, so Davis and his team are working hard to anticipate and avoid potential problems. A huge concern is Web server overload. As a measure, pre-registration is required. The event will originate from the Spectrum Video and Film studio in Phoenix, Ariz. “We’re really proud to showcase Lyssa Royal Holt and her unique gifts in our first webcast. Our goal is to expand awareness. And there’s nobody better than Lyssa,” said Ken Liljegren, president of Spectrum.
“Experience: Contact can be viewed at no cost as a promotional special for this first in a series of live video webcasts. “If all goes well, then we do have ideas to advance it for future presentations,” concluded Davis.
