For Immediate Release:

Scottsdale, Ariz., December 29 – Guitar genius and longtime E Street Band member Nils Lofgren is profiled on the cover of MyTekLife Magazine Winter 2011 issue—available on January 14.

Before leaving for an international acoustic tour, Lofgren, a successful singer, songwriter and bandleader in his own right, sat down with Warren Mason of MyTekLife to discuss his amazing 42-year career.

The self-effacing Lofgren, a classically trained pianist and accordionist, is no stranger to the limelight. At the age of 18, he joined Neil Young’s band, playing piano and guitar on Young’s seminal album, “After the Gold Rush.” Later, he smoothly transitioned into a successful solo career, which yielded several hit singles, including “I Came to Dance” and “Shine Silently.” In 1989, Lofgren joined Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band for many world tours and albums.

The magazine also features related commentary and content from bestselling author Clive Cussler and gonzo artist Ralph Steadman, as they discuss their longtime friendship and collaboration with Lofgren.

Also, inside the winter issue is an exclusive interview with famed session drummer Hal Blaine, the world’s most recorded musician. Blaine, who has played on 41 No. 1 singles and seven consecutive Grammy Records of the Year, recalls his experiences playing for greats such as Frank Sinatra, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Steely Dan, Elvis Presley, Cher, Ray Charles and George Harrison, to name just a few.

“This issue has an entertainment theme, and what amazing content it has,” said Editor-in-Chief Ed Martinez. “We are so excited to feature these cultural icons and share their personal stories with our audience.”

Finally, the Winter 2011 issue also features stories in aviation, automotive technology, history and discovery, and science.
